In September 2021, the Commonwealth of Australia made the bold decision to pursue the procurement of a nuclear-powered submarine fleet under a new arrangement called AUKUS (Australia-United Kingdom-United States). This decision resulted in the termination of the Attack Class submarine program.
What remains critical to the transition to nuclear-powered submarines is proper contract close-out, capturing lessons learned, and analyses to ensure resources already invested can be optimized for future use. Equator is supporting the Commonwealth in performing these tasks and maximizing value for money for our client during this important transition. Our contributions in test & evaluation, verification and validation, test resources, and information technology have been significant and long-lasting.
Equator remains committed to helping the Commonwealth of Australia achieve its strategic goals, satisfy Royal Australian Navy mission requirements, and maximize sovereignty during this challenging time in the Indo-Pacific region.
